Manage my Service: important update
Last week, we issued a provider update with key updates about Manage my Service, which will be our new digital platform for care services and providers. As a reminder...
- Manage my Service is now planned for launch later this year.
To ensure the platform is stable, secure and ready to use from day one, we have taken the decision to delay the launch to allow time for final testing and checks. Until the new launch date, please continue to use the Digital portal and electronic forms (eForms) as normal, using your existing login details.
- Q&A videos are now available.
We have launched a series of Q&A videos to answer key questions about Manage my Service, such as "What is changing?" and "What are the benefits?". You can watch the full series on our website.
- Join our Manage my Service webinar.
We are hosting an online session for Children and young people's services on Friday, 17July from 12:30 - 13:30. This will explain what is changing, how to prepare and what training and support will be available. There will also be a live Q&A section.
New improved website
We are continuing to update and improve our refreshed website careinspectorate.scot
The improvements deliver clearer information, faster access to key resources and a modernised user experience. We look forward to your feedback as we continue to enhance our digital presence. Latest news from other organisations
Disclosure Scotland five-year PVG scheme
The five-year PVG scheme began on 1 April 2026. Anyone who applies for PVG from that date is automatically entered into the five-year PVG scheme. Existing PVG members will move from lifetime membership to the five-year membership in phases. This work will take place over time and will be done by Disclosure Scotland contacting the scheme member directly at some point in the future.
Disclosure Scotland have identified that they do not hold an email address on their systems for some existing PVG scheme members. Disclosure Scotland need this information to be able to contact you, including when you will be invited to move to the five-year PVG scheme.
If you have not previously provided an email address to Disclosure Scotland or your online account omits this information, please contact Disclosure Scotland as soon as possible with your current email address. You can do this by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or calling their helpline on 0300 0200 040. They are open Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 4pm and Friday, 9am to 3:30pm. When contacting them via email, you should provide your full name, date of birth, PVG scheme membership number, and mother’s family name.
You should also contact Disclosure Scotland if your name or postal address has changed since you joined the PVG scheme. You should provide Disclosure Scotland with documentary evidence of your name or address change, if applicable.
If you are no longer operating in a regulated role that requires Scheme membership you should make contact with Disclosure to have yourself removed from the Scheme.
