New local government inform report - men’s health
In November 2025, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) published its 10-year vision to improve the health and wellbeing of men and boys. The Men’s Health Strategy for England aims to achieve this by shining a spotlight on men’s health, tackling preventable causes of ill-health common among men and taking targeted action to improve health outcomes.
The Local Government Association’s new Local Government (LG) Inform men’s health report compiles data for a number of determinants of good health to enable users to gain an understanding of how their local authority (LA) is performing in relation to men's health metrics. It also helps to identify areas where targeted interventions could improve outcomes for men and boys. Aspects of men’s health covered in the report include life expectancy and healthy ageing, early life determinants, and behaviour risk factors.
New local government inform report - family hubs
Family Hubs bring together services that support children, young people and families from pregnancy to young adulthood.
The National Centre for Family Hubs has produced a new LG Inform report which brings together a range of key family-related metrics to support evidence-based decision-making across the sector. It enables LAs and partners to benchmark performance, understand local need in a national context, and identify emerging trends that may impact demand for services.
