Following on from the face mask guidance update for social care settings including care homes for adults and older people on 7 September, the Scottish Government/NHS face mask poster has been amended. Please note there is no change to the guidance.
The poster refers to the National Infection Prevention and Control Manual and the Care Home National Infection Prevention and Control Manual. This is to clarify that the use of face masks noted within the national guidance in relation to contact with a confirmed or suspected case of respiratory infection remains in place.
You can download A3 and A4 versions of the amended poster from the Scottish Government webpage about face coverings in social care settings. Please use this version of the poster going forward.
ARHAI Scotland and Public Health Scotland have updated their respective guidance documents to reflect the 7 September change to face mask guidance.
