The Scottish Social Services Council have revised the Codes of Practice for Social Service Workers and Employers, which came into effect on 1 May. The codes set out the standards of practice and behaviour expected of everyone who works in social services in Scotland and the standards expected of employers of social service workers in Scotland. The Care Inspectorate takes account of the code for employers to help reinforce employers’ roles and responsibilities. Please take time to review the updated codes.
