The Urgent Care Service in Fife commenced on the 04 November 2019. This new model of care covering out-of-hours will be more flexible, integrated and be delivered by a multi-disciplinary team (including GPs, Nurses, Paramedics and District Nurses).

What's changing?

From 04 November 2019,  a more flexible, integrated and multi-disciplinary team approach, working from three centres and supported by home visits will cover out-of-hours Urgent Care in Fife.

The Key message;

When local GPs, Pharmacies and Dentists are closed, and people are too ill to wait for them to open, then they should call 111 to use the out-of-hours Urgent Care Service.

This is the safest way to obtain care out of hours, NHS 24 will direct you to the most appropriate care for your need. Travelling to what you think is the nearest hospital may delay you being seen by the right profession in the right place.
