Manage my Service
In August 2026, we will launch Manage my Service, your new dedicated digital portal for managing your interactions with us. This follows the launch of our new website and is the next step in making our digital tools more supportive.
All care service users will be required to log into the new Manage my Service portal using an individual, unique email address. Throughout May, registered care services will receive a link to the Manage my Service User Details Form in an email from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject line “Urgent action needed; unique contact details required”.
You must complete this form to register your Care Service Administrator, today frequently referred to as 'Main User' or 'Manager', and any staff who need portal access. Please note: this request is for users at a care service level only, we will be in touch soon with instructions for how care service providers can tell us who they want to be able to administer Manage my Service at a provider level.
If you have already received the Manage my Service User Details Form, or as soon as it arrives, please complete this request by Wednesday 10 June 2026. This is a vital step to ensure your service has access when the portal launches in August.
Share your experience of inspection feedback
We are inviting you to complete our Inspection Feedback Survey to help us understand how feedback is experienced during inspections.
We want to hear about what works well or not so well for you and your service when it comes to receiving feedback.
Feedback happens throughout the inspection. It is based on open, professional discussion between providers, managers, and inspectors. It provides opportunity to discuss observations and emerging findings, recognise strengths, and identify areas for development. At the end of the inspection, inspectors give formal feedback. They outline the findings and draft evaluations. This is also a chance to ask questions, share more information, and discuss the feedback.
Please answer openly and honestly, we do not ask for any identifying information other than what sector you work in.
Variations
With the summer holiday period approaching, we would like to remind all providers and managers that this is typically a busy time for the ELC and CYP registration team.
Legislation requires the date any proposed variation takes effect must not be less than three months after the date the application is made. While we try to assess applications in a timely manner, higher demands during this period can sometimes lead to longer timescales. To prevent disappointment, we encourage providers and managers to submit an application needed over the holiday period at the earliest opportunity.
Please remember, it is an offence to operate outwith your conditions of registration, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Care Inspectorate.
New Care Inspectorate website
The new Care Inspectorate website recently launched and we appreciate your patience while we have undertaken this work.
You can find a short introductory video explaining the features and navigation of the new site.
There is a link on the new site to provide feedback, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts as we continue to enhance our digital presence.
We’d like to thank everyone across the care sector who has contributed to this project. Your time, insights and feedback have played a key role in shaping the new website.
Below is a map of the new site content. If you need help or if there is anything you are unable to find, please email the communications team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Leading Well with Copilot: Confidence, Capability and Control
AI tools like Copilot are becoming part of everyday working life but using them well requires more than just access to technology.
This session cuts through the hype to explore what Copilot can genuinely support, where leaders still need to apply judgement, and how to adopt AI in a safe, ethical, and people‑first way. Designed for leaders responsible for digital transformation, service improvement and workforce development, this webinar focuses on practical leadership decisions, not technical detail.
In this session, we will explore:
- what Copilot is, and isn’t
- where Copilot can add value for leaders
- how leaders can support responsible, ethical, and inclusive use
- why data quality, governance and human oversight still matter
- real-life use cases
- how to move teams from curiosity to confident, everyday use.

Information for unincorporated charities: employing staff, owning property and considering incorporation
If a charity is unincorporated and employs staff or owns property, there can be risks for the charity trustees. Charity trustees are the people with overall responsibility for the control and management of the charity. In many unincorporated charities, trustees may be referred to as the management committee or committee members. Read more here.
