Launch of Tapped Film and Resource
A powerful new youth-led film and education resource, Tapped, has officially launched in Dunfermline, shining a spotlight on the hidden harms of illegal money lending and empowering young people to make safer financial choices.
The project culminated in a celebratory launch event at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, on Tuesday 17 March 2026, where guests gathered to watch the premiere screening of the Tapped film, alongside a supporting film and short documentary capturing both the risks of loan sharks and the creative journey of the young people involved.
Speaking at the launch event were project partners and contributors, including Kenny Murphy (Chief Executive of Fife Voluntary Action), Scott Morgan (Project Manager), John Pollock (Partnership & Support Officer at Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit), and Sofia Dogan (Chief Executive of Kingdom Community Bank), alongside the young filmmakers themselves who shared their experiences of bringing the project to life.
Provost Cllr Jim Leishman MBE also addressed attendees and presented the young participants with their Saltire Awards in recognition of their dedication and contribution.
The film and toolkit can be viewed and downloaded at www.kingdomcb.org.uk/tapped
