You are warmly invited to the exclusive launch of Tapped, a youth-led film and resource about the harms of illegal money lending.

Tuesday 17 March 2026

6.00 - 7.30pm

Carnegie Hall, East Port, Dunfermline KY12 7JA

Illegal money lending remains a real blight across Fife and beyond, with loan sharks preying on some of our most vulnerable people – particularly during challenging times.

Tapped has been developed through a partnership between Fife Voluntary ActionKingdom Community BankCity of Dunfermline Area Committee (Fife Council) and Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit, working alongside YouthLink Scotland. Central to the project has been the involvement of young people from the Dunfermline area, who were supported to script, film and edit the production, as well as shape the themes and content of the accompanying learning toolkit.

Following the launch, both the film and toolkit will be made freely available. While designed primarily for youth groups and classroom settings, the resources are equally suitable for wider community learning and engagement.

Who should attend?

The event is aimed at teachers, youth workers, and anyone working directly with young people aged 11-18 in Fife.

The launch event

We have invited select partners and key participants to this exclusive launch, to meet the film-makers, hear more about the film and subject matter, and to see the film on the big screen. There will be networking opportunities after the screening, alongside opportunities to see the resources and discuss it further with partners. We'll be serving drinks and popcorn from 6pm, with a 6.30pm start.

The screening will take place in the heart of city of Dunfermline, where Tapped was filmed. The Carnegie Hall is a category B listed art deco theatre surrounded by plentiful parking. Full details on how to find the venue, and where to park or travel by public transport will be sent to attendees.
