The Dementia Friendly Glenrothes Project which has been funded by the Glenrothes Local Area Committee, Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Council and Alzheimer Scotland has produced an information leaflet for people living with dementia in Fife.

Friendship Cabin is dynamic and multifaceted for senior adults. Friendship Cabin is an Adult Day Service that is run by volunteers and the programs planned offer a variety of activities to help restore, remediate or maintain the participant's optimal functional abilities. Performed in a group setting, the activities help increase the participant's interaction with others.

Trusthouse is interested in applications for capital projects at community centres in the most deprived urban areas and village halls in remote and economically deprived rural areas. They interpret ‘community centres’ in the broad sense, so you might be a church, sports facility or other building which offers a range of activities throughout the week which all the community can access.

Insomnia and the effects of sleep loss are in the news a lot recently so it's very timely that following a very successful pilot, Sleep Scotland has rolled out a free Sleep Support Line to provide guidance to parents and guardians struggling with their children's and teenager's sleep problems. This includes, but is not limited to, mainstream or typically developing children and teenagers, who previously could not access our services.

 Shopmobility are a registered Charity operating out of four locations in Fife - two in Kirkcaldy, one in Glenrothes and one in Dunfermline. The service supplies electric scooters and powered and manual equipment to people with mobility

Carers lives can be busy and complex in a way that "normal" life isn't. This can often lead to feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope and this stress can make carers feel ill - physically, emotionally and mentally. Stress is a very common problem but you don't need to be stuck with it. Learning to deal with stress can make a huge positive difference. Step on Stress classes aim to help you manage your stress. There are simple things that we can learn to do that can really help and the short course provides practical tools and techniques that you can use in everyday life.

Did you know that the Ecology Centre at Kinghorn Loch run a dementia friendly Tool Shed every Thursday. Several regular volunteers go along every week and refurbish tools and work on various projects in the Tool Shed. There's lots of banter, cups of tea and interesting projects. One of the volunteers recently said - "I love working with the tools ... I wish every day was Thursday". Everyone enjoys love catching up every week.

The Adult Support & Protection Committee (ASPC) has worked in partnership with Stop It Now! Scotland to produce two new easy read resources. 'What am I looking at online?' gives advice to adults at risk of internet offending as a consequence of accessing and distributing child abuse imagery, when their understanding of the implications of their actions is limited or absent due to a learning disability or problem with cognition. 'I've made a new friend online. But I'm worried. What do I do?' gives advice about grooming, sexting, sharing images and information, and how to get support and help if this is happening to you.
